Label TextThis dog tag was issued by the city of London in 1928. By the late 19th-century, the use of identification tags for dogs was gaining popularity. Owners began attaching these tags to collars, typically with the dog's name and owner's contact information printed on them. Later, it became policy to register pets with the city and purchase licenses for them, often in the form of metal tags.
