Label TextThis is a circa 1940 AM and shortwave radio in the Art Deco-influenced “courthouse” design. Its casing is made of catalin, a plastic similar to bakelite, which could be mass produced. This made it less expensive than radios in wood casings. After the Second World War (1939-1945), new plastics would supersede catalin.
