Only Sunlight laundry soap, this packaging claims, will budge ground in dirt. And it was easy to use. One 1942 advertisement said, “Just apply Sunlight lightly – scarcely more than a mere touch – and you leave a film of soap right in contact with the dirt.” This film lathered into rich suds, removing the dirt in the process.
