Label TextThis is a list of textbooks that students were required to have during the 1895-1896 school year at the London Collegiate Institute. The school was constructed in 1878 as the city's first high school, located at the northwest corner of Dufferin and Waterloo Streets. In 1904, 1000 students were registered and the staff included 22 teachers. The original building burned down in 1920 and was replaced with the London Central Collegiate Institute in 1922, now known as London Central Secondary School.
