Label TextWorkers in the London Furniture Manufacturing Company constructed this wardrobe. George Moorhead began the business in 1857. Over the next twenty years, he expanded the factory and introduced machines to do work formerly done by hand. An 1870 advertisement described “workshops fully supplied with the latest and most approved machinery, all driven by steam power....”
