Label TextThis late 19th century low back Windsor chair came from a hotel on Hamilton Road. This makes sense. Chairs of this design, although today called Captain’s chairs, were often used in taverns, libraries, meeting rooms, and offices. Customers could order this type of chair from manufacturers complete with metal rods to give them added strength and durability.
