Label TextThis is a Cairncross and Lawrence glass. About Cairncross and Lawrence, the Vintage London Facebook page writes: "Cairncross and Lawrence drug store was opened for business by James Arthur Cairncross and Lindsay Tyler Lawrence, at 256 Dundas Street in 1886. This store was located on the north side of Dundas, a few doors west of Wellington Street. With an increase in business, more space was needed and in 1889 they moved to the location on the northwest corner of Dundas and Clarence Streets...Lindsay Lawrence died July 25, 1901. James Cairncross bought the shares in the business held by his late partner. James Cairncross died January 25, 1924 and his son, Roy Cairncross carried on the business. The Cairncross and Lawrence operation remained in the Cairncross family through four generations and expanded to six locations in London. G. Tamblyn Limited took control of the Cairncross firm July 24, 1967.
