Label TextThe Westervelt College promotional fan advertised the school’s programs of study aimed at young women and men. When Westervelt (1848-1928) first opened his school as the Forest City Business and Shorthand College in 1885, he only accepted men as students. A year later in 1886, he accepted women too.
