Label TextThis commemorative plate illustrates Victoria Hospital at its South Street site. The hospital had wards for children, tubercular patients, and patients with contagious diseases. This hospital would later become South Street Hospital in 2005 after most of the patients were moved to the new Victoria Hospital location. The South Street site provided 138 years of patient care before being closed and demolished in 2013.
