Label TextLondon’s Marjorie Smith made this 1950s-day dress. Marjorie believes she bought the fabric from Kingsmills and the dress pattern from either Eaton’s or Simpson’s. Horrocks, an English company, manufactured the fabric. Like other women of her era, Marjorie often sewed her own clothes to have “something different from everyone else.”
