Label TextThis 100% latex girdle was a step in the direction away from the heavier hook and eye style girdles of the 1930s and 40s. The prototype of the "living girdle" appeared in 1933. It was a one-piece rubber foundation garment you sprinkled with talc and rolled on and sold in a tube.
