At the Victoria Hospital School of Nursing, students lived in the Gartshore Residence, pictured on the plate. Rules were strict. There were compulsory quiet times and penalties for lateness. Smoking was also prohibited. These rules didn’t stop student hijinks. Many bent the rules with the help of their classmates.
