Label TextThis wedding band belonged to acclaimed London artist, Paul Peel. He married Danish-born painter Isaure Fanchette Verdier in Willesden, in the northeast of London, England, on 16 January 1886. Paul and Isaure had met at an artists’ colony in Pont Aven, France, in 1884. The couple had two children, Robert André, born on October, 22, 1886, and Émilie Marguerite, born on November 15, 1888. Peel died in 1892 after a short illness.
