Label TextThis wedding band belonged to Danish-born artist Isaure Fanchette Verdier. She married acclaimed London artist, Paul Peel, in Willesden, in the northeast of London, England, on 16 January 1886. Isaure and Paul had met at an artists’ colony in Pont Aven, France, in 1884. The couple had two children, Robert André, born on October, 22, 1886, and Émilie Marguerite, born on November 15, 1888. Peel died in 1892 after a short illness.
