Label TextThe Labatt brewery won a medal at the Exposition Universelle in Paris in 1878. Afterwards, the company featured it on its beer bottle labels and advertising. By 1878, John Labatt junior, pictured here, had taken over the brewery. He entered the company’s products into many Canadian and international competitions. Winning medal after medal, the company gained fame and sales grew.
