Label TextThe Edward L. Megill Company of Brooklyn produced this set of Spring Tongue Gauge Pins in the 1920s. The gauges are intended to hold paper or cardstock on the platen press as it closes, to keep their place secure. The double grip nature of these pins mean that colour registration jobs will have paper stock held to precise orientations. This eliminated the need for sealing wax to lock pins in place.
