Label TextJohn Ancaster, (great great grandfather of the donor) was a stonemason from England, who came to the Ilderton area in 1847. He regularly went to the army post to clean soldier's rifles. His wife, Nancy made this quilt from uniforms that were given to him on his trips to the post.
