Label TextOn April 12, 1870, Captain John Peters (1833-1915) helped command the London Field Battery. Their mission? To repel the Fenians, expected to attempt a raid of Canada via Sarnia. Peters and his unit did not encounter the enemy that day. Nor did they on May 26, 1870, when they were ordered back to Sarnia.
