Label TextSharpened stones such as this one were used in the dressing of fur pelts. Before pelts could be cured, the fur would be cleaned, and muscle and fat would be removed with knives. This skinning knife was found buried 3-feet underground at Highbury Avenue in London, Ontario by Henry Hicks.
