Here, London’s Sayvette is under construction on the west side of Wellington Road (bottom, right). It was one of a chain of discount department stores in Ontario serving customers in the 1960s to the late 1970s. Today, the Bay at White Oaks Mall stands on this location. The fields behind the store are also long gone, giving way to residential and commercial development.
