Label TextBoomers was a popular chocolate and sweet shop located on the south side of Dundas Street, between Richmond and Clarence Streets. The served chocolate sundaes, strawberry sodas, and milkshakes. According to the book "The Home Front London, Canada 1939-1945" by Bill Corfield & Hume Cronyn, "just before Christmas 1944, Boomers offered a small ration of home-made candy. The line-up blocked the sidewalk for hours."
