Victoria Hospital is part of the London Health Sciences Centre and is a teaching hospital associated with the University of Western Ontario, offering medical training in many forms since 1881. Victoria Hospital originated as London General Hospital in 1875. In 1899 Victoria Hospital opened a new facility on South Street. After expansions and moves, Victoria Hospital and the Children's Hospital at London Health Sciences Centre are now located on Commissioners Street, operating as one of the largest hospitals in Southwestern Ontario.
