Label TextDonor Vaness Brown explained that Hotel London owner, Joe McManus put in the Camelot Room in the early 1960s. It was a main floor bar on the Dundas Street side that featured a huge mural by John Neilly depicting a knight with a phallic jousting spear, riding a muscular horse. The bar became a hangout for London’s burgeoning Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBTQ2S+) community.
