Label TextMuseum London celebrated its 80th anniversary in 2020. To mark this event, Senior Curator and Manager of Education, Exhibitions, and Programs spearheaded an exhibition project, entitled 80ML. This project saw museum staff approach 80 community members to speak to one of 40 artworks and 40 artifacts. One of the respondents was Gavin Anderson, owner of Anderson Craft Ale. In addition to writing a response to “99 bottles of beer,” Anderson proposed the idea of selecting six artifacts and six artworks from the museum’s collection to feature on cans of Anderson craft ale. Museum London staff embraced this idea as yet another way to draw Londoners’ attention to the museum’s 80th anniversary.
