Label TextSir Adam Beck (1857-1925), known as the "Father of Ontario Hydro," had this inscribed coach whip. Beck served as Mayor of London from 1902-1904, while also serving as a member of Provincial Parliament. In 1906, he founded the Hydro-Electric Power Commission of Ontario, establishing electricity and transmission lines throughout Ontario.
