Label TextThis photograph shows workers posing outside the Coleman & Co. Pork Packing Company factory, which was located on First Street. The Bieman family took over the company in 1926. During the 1930s, the company dropped "pork" from its name and began to process other meats, too. The company closed in the early 1970s, forced into bankruptcy.
