Label TextThis 1908 trophy is an example of Western Fair souvenir flash or stained glassware. Perhaps it was a prize won in a competition or through prowess in games at the midway. London’s Western Fair was established in 1868. In 1887, the Fair moved from Victoria Park to its current home. The annual event showcased the agricultural, industrial, commercial, and artistic output of the region’s residents. Adapting to evolving fair-goers' tastes, it later added shows, a midway, and many other attractions.
