Label TextThe Globe Furniture Company of Waterloo, Ontario, manufactured this all-in-one school folding seat and desk. Students perched on a folding seat used the desk in the all-in-one piece ahead of them. Founded in 1889 in Walkerville, Ontario, the Globe Furniture Company relocated to Waterloo in 1910. It closed in 1968. An early catalogue proclaimed that this combined desk and seat stood “without an equal in the universe.”
